On February 2, 2022, Canada conducted another PNP-Specific Express Entry draw and invited 1070 applicants to apply for Visa.

The Canadian government invited 1070 new Express Entry PNP Candidates, who previously obtained a nomination from an Express Entry-aligned Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), received invitations to apply (ITAs) for Canadian permanent residency (PR) in this draw. There are various reasons why people choose to immigrate, but the majority cited reason is employment opportunities and a better lifestyle as the main motivation of their choice.

Though obtaining Express Entry-aligned Provincial Nomination is quite difficult at times, the 600 points added to the comprehensive ranking system (CRS) score create a healthy safety net for potential EES-PNP nominees. The cutoff score required for the nomination under this draw was 674.

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied a tiebreak in this draw. All PNP candidates with a CRS score of 674 and above who had submitted their profiles in the Express Entry pool before July 05, 2021, at 13:12:05 UTC received Invitations in this draw.

Canada’s primary source of fulfilling skilled foreign workers demand is the Express Entry system used by the IRCC to manage and process applications for skilled workers who want to become permanent residents of Canada through three federal skilled immigration programs – The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

Canada’s Express Entry immigration system ranks all eligible candidates against one another and awards them scores out of 1200. This program is for skilled people and eligible applicants are awarded points for excels in different areas such as their education, language proficiency, work experience & more.

Candidates of high rank are getting invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence through the draws conducted by IRCC. Since the pandemic is moving towards the endemic stage, it is a great time to evaluate your chances to get Permanent Residency of Canada through various programs.
